20/30

I am so behind in blogging. I was originally going to try and backtrack all the time I have missed, but that plan is out and now I am starting anew.  The latest news for us is Desmond is now 20 months old and I am 30 weeks pregnant.

Desmond started swimming lessons this month to get ready for summer. He loves being in the water splashing and blowing bubbles. It is especially fun because his cousin Truxton is taking the class with us. Desmond has loved having his cousin so close. They play so well and Desmond loves to see baby TT as he would say.

Des also got his first haircut this week. It was sad to see all his baby curls go but it looks like his hair will still have some wave to it, and he looks so handsome and big now.  He was so good through the haircut sitting very still. The only excitement was when he was allowed to hold the trimmer and he almost cut his own hair with it.

I am 30 weeks pregnant now, only 10 more weeks to go until we meet this new baby boy. TJ and I are still trying to agree on a name we both like. We may be deciding that in the hospital.  This pregnancy seems to have gone by fast, but maybe that is because I am chasing a toddler all around. I don't think Desmond is aware that he will soon be a big brother, he does know there is some correlation between my belly and the word baby.

Busy Busy

Desmond is now nine months old. He has started crawling around on his tummy. He uses his arms and big toes to move around. He loves to stand with his toys, his new favorite toy is his table. He started eating more real food, and discovered that he really likes strawberries. He loves trying to do things for himself. At his nine month appointment he weighed 22 pounds and was 29 inches. He is now in the 75th percentile for height, weight and head. He has two teeth and is working on some more. Desmond is such a happy baby and loves everyone around him.

What's in this cabinet?

Easter Sunday.

There are 2 teeth, can you find them?

These are my friends Abby and Brooke. We had to take a picture since Brooke is moving this weekend and we will miss her lots. Desmond and I have enjoyed walking with her in the morning and being silly with her. Abby is moving in October as well, but I don't want to talk about that yet. It seems that there will be many changes this year, friends and family moving on to new things.

Water Baby

Desmond started his first swimming class this week. He is the youngest in his class, and he loves the water.  He thinks it is hilarious when we blow bubbles even though he just tries to drink the water. He isn't quite sure if he likes going under water yet, he always makes a really funny face when he comes up.

Desmond is also 7 months old now. He has so much personality. He loves to talk and scream. Whenever we go out he screams and laughs at the people around him, especially if they make eye contact. He loves the attention he gets. His favorite sound right now is "Ba" he says it all day long. He is also trying to get into everything. He rolls all over the living room and tries to get his knees up underneath him to start crawling. It won't be long before he gets it.  Desmond also loves animals, he gets so excited when he hears dogs bark he has to scream back. The other day he was in his jumper having a bark/scream contest with Leia. And yesterday he was playing with my moms dog Abby. She was licking his toes trying to avoid his grasp.

I can't believe its been 7 months already Desmond is such a blessing to us.

Playing Cath Up

Tired of Mommy taking pictures

The holidays seemed to come and go so quickly I just realized I didn't post about any of our holiday fun. Desmond turned 5 months old right before Christmas. He has been working hard on lots of skills since then. He is now an expert at grabbing his toes. He is working on sitting up all on his own, and is getting pretty good. He is also very close to rolling over off of his back. I expect he will be rolling around in no time. Desmond also got his first taste of rice cereal and is now an expert eater. He loves to try and grab the spoon as you feed him and he talks with his mouth open.

(He was mad it didn't come as fast as his bottle)
We enjoyed spending time with our family over the holiday break. Both of my sisters were here to visit and Desmond just loved spending time with them. He also enjoyed hanging out with his Uncle Brant. Desmonds favorite part of Christmas was all of the wrapping paper.

Turkey Day

Desmond's four month appointment: weight 16.9 lbs (80th percentile), length 24 3/4 inches (50th percentile) and his head was in the 75th percentile. To sum it all up, back pain for mommy.  His favorite new thing to do his talk and scream. He has this high pitched sound that gets so loud. He also is loving anything in his mouth. If it is near his face it will end up in his mouth.

4 months old

Two days before leaving for California to visit the Wolfe Family for Thanksgiving Reno had its first snow of the season. I couldn't wait to take Desmond out in his little snow suit.  I think he was in shock from the cold air.

First Snow
We had a very nice relaxing thanksgiving in California. We have a lot to be thankful for this year. Desmond was able to meet all of the Wolfe cousins. He also got to meet the rest of the Eudy family. Desmond showed how happy he was to meet everyone by spitting up on them and laughing.

A Year

A year ago today we found out we were pregnant with Desmond. It was a joyful and scary time. After two miscarriages it was hard to believe that this pregnancy would be successful. I guess you could say we were cautiously excited. Now we know that Desmond had to wait for just the perfect time to come to us. What a difference a year makes. Last year there was only the hope of a baby and now we have a beautiful three month old son. They days go by so quickly I can hardly believe how much he has changed already. I just want to hang on to every second and yet I can't wait to see him advance and grow at the same time. Of course a post is never complete without pictures of our little boy. Enjoy.

Fall is Here

October has been a busy month for us so far. Desmond has grown so much this month it is unbelievable. He loves to suck on his hands and play with his activity mat. He has found his voice and talks to himself all day. I can't believe he will be three months old this week. Desmond had his first cold, just a really bad stuffy nose. He seems to be over the worst of it now. My sisters came to visit this month, Desmond was spoiled by his Aunts. He is having to adjust back into some independent time instead of having someone hold and play with him all day.  I need to be able to get a few things done. While his Aunts were here we took him to a pumpkin patch to get some pictures of him in his Halloween costume, he was not amused. We also took a drive up to Lake Tahoe to watch the Salmon run. It was pretty cool.
