Turkey Day

Desmond's four month appointment: weight 16.9 lbs (80th percentile), length 24 3/4 inches (50th percentile) and his head was in the 75th percentile. To sum it all up, back pain for mommy.  His favorite new thing to do his talk and scream. He has this high pitched sound that gets so loud. He also is loving anything in his mouth. If it is near his face it will end up in his mouth.

4 months old

Two days before leaving for California to visit the Wolfe Family for Thanksgiving Reno had its first snow of the season. I couldn't wait to take Desmond out in his little snow suit.  I think he was in shock from the cold air.

First Snow
We had a very nice relaxing thanksgiving in California. We have a lot to be thankful for this year. Desmond was able to meet all of the Wolfe cousins. He also got to meet the rest of the Eudy family. Desmond showed how happy he was to meet everyone by spitting up on them and laughing.

A Year

A year ago today we found out we were pregnant with Desmond. It was a joyful and scary time. After two miscarriages it was hard to believe that this pregnancy would be successful. I guess you could say we were cautiously excited. Now we know that Desmond had to wait for just the perfect time to come to us. What a difference a year makes. Last year there was only the hope of a baby and now we have a beautiful three month old son. They days go by so quickly I can hardly believe how much he has changed already. I just want to hang on to every second and yet I can't wait to see him advance and grow at the same time. Of course a post is never complete without pictures of our little boy. Enjoy.

Fall is Here

October has been a busy month for us so far. Desmond has grown so much this month it is unbelievable. He loves to suck on his hands and play with his activity mat. He has found his voice and talks to himself all day. I can't believe he will be three months old this week. Desmond had his first cold, just a really bad stuffy nose. He seems to be over the worst of it now. My sisters came to visit this month, Desmond was spoiled by his Aunts. He is having to adjust back into some independent time instead of having someone hold and play with him all day.  I need to be able to get a few things done. While his Aunts were here we took him to a pumpkin patch to get some pictures of him in his Halloween costume, he was not amused. We also took a drive up to Lake Tahoe to watch the Salmon run. It was pretty cool.

Photo Shoot

Desmond is now 2 months old. My friends Abby and Brooke came to do a photo shoot with him. The pictures turned out amazing, those girls are awesome! He loved watching Brooke make all those funny faces. Desmond weighs 12.1 pounds now and is 23 inches long. He has become very vocal cooing and grunting all day long. He has the most amazing smile and can roll over already! He has been such a blessing to our lives.

This is a total TJ face to me

I love that you can see his chubby tummy and legs in this picture

RIBS

This weekend was the annual Best of the West Rib Cookoff. We went with our friends Abby and Alan. We had a blast. Grandma and Grandpa Eudy babysat Desmond so we could fully experience the ribs. TJ had a gigantic beef rib. He loved it, except he was then to full to eat any other of the yummy foods! I got my ribs from Butch's, I get them there every year. I was so proud I didn't spill any ribs on my shirt. That was a first!

I can't do a post without including a few new pictures of Desmond. There are some in the family who protest to much. Here are some pictures of us trying to get Desmond to smile. He smiles so quickly I don't think any of these represents his true smile, but they are pretty cute. My heart just melts when I see his smile.

A Blessing

Sunday we blessed Desmond. It was also his one month birthday. TJ's parents and brothers were able to be here for the blessing, which really meant a lot to us. TJ gave Desmond a wonderful blessing. I was so overcome with gratitude and love that I started crying before the blessing even started. There have been so many people who prayed for us and struggled with us as we worked towards having Desmond. I am so grateful to  Heavenly Father for answering those prayers. Desmond is truly a special gift.

Saturday TJ took his brothers out for a quad ride so Grandma and Grandpa Wolfe could spend some time with their new grandson. TJ had lots of fun with his brothers, even though Ryan rolled a quad and scared TJ to death.  Desmond enjoyed getting to know Grandma and Grandpa Wolfe.

8 Years

Eight years ago today TJ and I were married in the Reno temple. It was such a beautiful day and I have enjoyed each year we have been together. I got myself a great man and I love him even more as I see the amazing father he is becoming. I love you Mr! You are my favorite!
