Where Has the Last Month Gone?

TJ, Desmond and Grandpa Wolfe reading bedtime stories
October was a difficult month for our family, and I had difficulty even writing this post. TJ's dad had a heart attack which was devastating to his already weak body. After spending a week in hospice care he passed away. The week he spent in hospice care was a difficult blessing. TJ and his brothers were able to spend time with their dad and meeting people that had been impacted by Tom somehow. We all learned a little more about Tom that week. Tom was also able to meet Holden for the first time.  I was so impressed with TJ's strength during this heartbreaking time.  We all miss Tom and think of him often. We are so thankful for the knowledge we have of eternal families and of knowing that we will be with him again.
The Wolfe Grandkids
Although we were there under sad circumstances Desmond and Holden loved spending time with their cousins. Desmond almost didn't know what to do with so many fun kids around all the time. We went to their ward Trunk or Treat and Desmond was trying so hard to keep up with his cousin Joey.  While they were playing Joey brought Des back to me and told me to keep an eye on him because he can be a handful! I am sure I remember the same being said about Joey.

Desmond exhausted from playing with his cousins
The whole week after we came home Desmond walked around the house carrying pictures of his cousins. He kept asking for Sammy. He was quite lonely.  We wish we were able to all get together more often.

Ready to go Trick or Treating
Trick or Treating with these two was an experience. We put them in the stroller so we could keep up with their older cousins. Holden was exhausted and soon fell asleep. Desmond didn't quite understand the concept. We would go to one house and get candy and Des couldn't do anything else except try to get that candy to eat. We ended up having to keep his bucket empty and hid the candy from each house as we went.  They only lasted about a half block with their cousins before it was time for us to head back to Grandma's and go to bed.

I am also posting a bunch of other photos from the last month that were on my cell phone. It will give you an idea of what we are up to everyday.

Holden just couldn't wait for nap time
Desmond wearing his Buzzlightyear glove. He wore it for a week after Halloween. He thought it was so funny trying to pick things up with these big gloves on.

Holden's first rice cereal and baby food. For the first couple bites he always has this look on his face, what are you trying to feed me now?

Drinking his ranch

This was hilarious! I was babysitting my nephew Truxton and he was playing, playing, playing, then asleep. Just like this. I can't believe he slept this way for an hour. Such a funny boy!
