Cow! Cow!

Not really a picture of a cow, but we went to the pumpkin patch tonight and all Desmond could talk about was the Cow.  He basically ran from the bounce house to the animals back and forth. He had so much fun with Truxton. Grammie and Auntie Kendall took him on the hay ride and he loved the tractor. I wish I could figure out how to post video here, he was so excited and screaming and talking about the animals. Holden was happy to ride around in the stroller and watch the excitment. I love my family!

Four Months

I can't believe Holden is four months old already! He has gotten so big. He loves it when his big brother Desmond holds him. He is laughing and rolling over now. His legs are so strong I wouldn't be surprised if he was crawling soon.

4 month stats: 16.5 lbs and 25 3/4 inches  80th Percentile all around.

Birthday Party Fun

Desmond is 2 years old! We celebrated by partying with friends and family. I will post some pictures at the end.

Here is what Desmond is up to at 2 years:
  • Coloring and writing. It is the only way he will sit still for longer than a minute.
  • Talking. Desmond has always been a talker, but now he has so many words and is really good at copying everything you say. He can tell you that he is two by holding up one finger from each had. It is so cute!  Desmond pretty much talks all day long. He has also been experimenting with volume so he is either really loud or whispering.
  • Playing with his brother. Desmond has taught Holden how to wave, give high five and do fist bumps. He love hugging and kissing his baby brother.
  • Climbing the couch, table and chairs and finding all the fun stuff to play on the counter.
  • Desmond's two year stats: 34 inches and 27 pounds
We love Desmond so much! We can't believe how fast these two years have gone, and can't wait to see what he learns over the next year!
He loved this card. It played the Mickey Mouse song. We heard it for days.

Blessings

We are so blessed.  TJ was able to give Holden a blessing. His mom was able to come be here for the blessing and to meet Holden. After she left I realized I didn't get any pictures of her with her newest grandson. I hate when I forget to take pictures. We had a great visit with her. We are blessed by great family. I am amazed by my two boys every day.

Des was so ready to run to the nursery and play

Surprise!

39 weeks
Desmond eating breakfast
We have had a busy week. I went into my doctor for an ultra sound to check the baby's weight and size before delivery. They called me in for an early appointment, and by the end of the day T.J. and I were heading to the hospital to start the induction process. My doctor gave me a choice of a week on bedrest or getting induced. Funny how labor is a better choice then bedrest with a toddler.

It was overall a good delivery.  I was contracting on my own when we arrived to the hospital so I didn't start my pitosin drip until 4am.  My doctor came in the morning and broke my water and then contractions really started to pick up so I got my epidural. The first dose didn't take so I got a very nice second dose and then was really happy.  At 1:15 my nurse checked me and I was dilated to a five. 15 minutes later I was worried that my epidural was wearing off. The nurse rushed in and said we were ready to have a baby! We had to wait for my doctor to arrive. She walked in the room, shoved her arms into a rob and caught Holden just in time. It was amazing! I only had to push one time and he came out with the most amazing head of dark hair.

He has been a quiet baby so far, but I am sure that will change soon. I think he looks like a Eudy, but I do see some of Desmond and the Wolfe side in him too. I forgot how small and precious newborns are. Holden was born at 1:50 on May 24th. He was 7lbs 10oz and 19 1/2 inches. Amost exactly the same stats as his older brother.
